Most Android phones come with apps you can’t uninstall. For example, YouTube is on basically all of them, and the most the settings will let you do is disable it. It’s still back there eating battery (and tempting you).

A phone from China comes with even more extra stuff on top of that, and some of it is feeding your data to yet another government. Samsung’s not much better, in terms of bloat.

For this, you don’t need to root anything or write any code. Just plug the phone into your computer, open a website in your browser, and permadeletewhat you don’t want. When it says “success,” it’s gone.

Just be careful. If you don’t know what something is, leave it alone. Especially Android WebView. A slight annoyance is better than bricking your phone.

Do this and thank me later:

  1. Tap Build Number 7 times in your phone’s settings

  2. Turn on USB debugging

  3. Plug your phone into your computer

  4. Go to app.webadb.com, and connect your phone

  5. Type “pm list packages"

  6. Paste that list into an AI to find out which ones are safe to remove

  7. Kill them all

Reply and let me know: What’s the first preinstalled app you’d kill? YouTube is always mine.

Till next time,

Kevin Tejada
